    Cream Cheese Coffee Ring.

In the early 50’s, this was my standard coffee cake. At that time it was different and daring. I made it again, this week, for old times sake. It was as good as ever, and so easy.

2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons orange rind
    1/3 cup finely chopped nuts.
    2 cups biscuit mix
    2 tablespoons honey

    Preheat oven to 450°F
Cream the cream cheese with the sugar, stir in the orange rind and nuts.
Mix biscuit mix according to package directions for biscuits.
Roll biscuit mixture into a 12x18 oblong.
    Spread with cream cheese mixture.
Roll up starting at the wide side.
Form ring on a baking sheet.
With shears, make cuts three-quarters through ring at 1 inch intervals, turning each section on it’s side.
    Bake for 15 minutes.
Glaze with honey and bake 5 minutes longer.
