Sylvie's Beets
List of Ingredients
- beets, washed and scrubbed
- For each quart of beets add
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cup of water that the beets were boiled in
Instructions
- Constantly boil beets till tender.
- Skin and slice.
- Measure to see how many quarts there are.
- Heat beets in prepared mixture above till it boils.
- Put beets in steralized bottles and top up with beet liquid.
- Steralize 3 to 4 minutes in a boiling bath.
