    Sylvie's Beets


    List of Ingredients


    • beets, washed and scrubbed
    • For each quart of beets add
    • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 3/4 cup vinegar
    • 3/4 cup of water that the beets were boiled in


    Instructions


    1. Constantly boil beets till tender.
    2. Skin and slice.
    3. Measure to see how many quarts there are.
    4. Heat beets in prepared mixture above till it boils.
    5. Put beets in steralized bottles and top up with beet liquid.
    6. Steralize 3 to 4 minutes in a boiling bath.
