    My cousin, Bob LaSalle, owned two barbeque restaurants in Texas and he gave me this recipe.

    List of Ingredients




    Large sweet onions, sliced in 1/4" pieces
    1 can evaporated milk
    flour
    cracker crumbs
    oil for deep frying

    Recipe



    Place onion slices in cold water to cover, refrigerate over night. When ready to fry, drain onion thoroughly and dry on paper towels. Dip each onion slice in milk then in flour, dip in milk again then in cracker crumbs. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
