    Baked Custard

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 eggs
    • 4 cups milk
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 1, 1/2 T. vanilla flavoring
    • Nutmeg


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325º. (I use a blender to mix mine).

    2. Beat eggs lightly.

    3. Add sugar, salt, vanilla and milk. Losely place lid on blender and blend in short, quick spurts (so it won't run over)until just blended.

    4. Pour into pyrex bowl, sprinkle with nutmeg, and place bowl in a shallow pan of water in oven.

    5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until inserted knife comes out clean. Cool and refrigerate.

    6. The custard tastes better the next day.
