    Oven Cooked BBQ Burgers

    Source of Recipe

    My friend Mona

    Recipe Introduction

My friend Mona made this one weekend at my house after a big float trip. They are awesome, and we have been making them every since. Mona is usually really big on protecting her recipes, but this time I actually watched her make them in my own kitchen, so she had to tell me what was in them…Moahaaahhhaaa (insert evil laugh), now if I could only get her to come off that recipe for her darn fried apple pies.

    List of Ingredients

1 lb - Hamburger meat (The leaner the meat the more it will help to keep them from falling apart)
    1 ts – Worcestershire sauce
    1 ts – Garlic powder
    1 ts – Onion powder
½ c – BBQ sauce (Your favorite brand will work)
5 to 6 pieces of sliced cheese (I use American Cheese, but you can use your favorite kind)
    5 to 6 Hamburger buns

    Recipe

    1 – Preset oven on 350

2 - In a large bowl add the hamburger meat, Worcestershire Sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and about a 1/8 of the BBQ Sauce (just eyeball it).

3 - Using your hands incorporate all the ingredients the best you can without overworking the meat too much, but enough to make sure that it is all mixed in well.

5 – Next fry each one until they are as done as you like your burgers (I’m a well done kind of girl so I cook mine all the way)

5 – After they are cooked you will set them on a cookie sheet (I recommend putting aluminum foil down first), and then baste each one with the remaining BBQ sauce. Then put them in the oven and let them go for about 10 to 15 minutes.

6 – Pull them out and cover each one with cheese, then put back in the oven for a minute or two until the cheese is melted.

    *** Hint ***
These burgers are very good, but they tend to fall apart very easy. The trick is to keep the liquids you add, down to a minimum.
