    Honey Chicken Wings

    3 lbs. chicken wings or chicken drumettes
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 cup honey
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1/4 cup tomato catsup
    1/2 clove garlic, minced

    Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing into 2 pieces at joint. Use drumetettes if you prefer. Season with salt and pepper; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and mix well. Cook for 15 minutes over moderate heat. It will become frothy and thick. Place wings in a shallow casserole dish. Pour 1/2 of the sauce over them and marinate for approximately 1 hour. Bake at 375 for 1 hour, basting with the remaining sauce until chicken is well done and sauce is carmelized.
