    Barbeque Kielbasa and Beans

    Source of Recipe

    Heirloom Recipes, M. R.

    Recipe Introduction

This is definitely one for those nights when you don't have much time to prepare dinner. It needs to bake for one hour but it's so fast to put together, that you could get it ready in the morning, and refrigerate until you get home, then just pop it in the oven. Very delicious and amazingly easy. From Heirloom Recipes, submited my M.R. She suggests 2 pounds of keilbasa for 6 servings. I cut it down to one pound for us, but followed the rest of the recipe to have a fair amount of beans for a side dish. She also says you can make this in a slow cooker. Would be great for potlucks, too.

    List of Ingredients

2 lbs kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 (15 ounces) cans great northern beans, drained and rinsed
1 (28 ounces) can crushed tomatoes
    1/2 large Spanish onions, chopped
    1/2 cup molasses
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    3-4 cloves garlic, minced

    Recipe

    1 Heat oven to 350°.
    2 Grease a 3 quart casserole dish.
3 Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
4 Pour into prepared pan, cover and bake for 1 hour.

    Servings: 6
    Preparation time: 5 minutes
    Cooking time: 1 hour
