    Amish Baked Deluxe French Toast

    List of Ingredients




    Baked Deluxe French Toast - start day before serving

    Whisk-beat together.

    6 eggs
    1 1/3 cup orange juice
    2/3 cup milk
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 teasp vanilla
    1/2 teasp nutmeg


    Recipe



    Place 6 to 8 bread (regular or french) slices in 9x13 pan.
    Pour egg mixture over all. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Turn bread once before going to bed.

    Preheat oven to 375º.

    Pour 1/2 cup melted butter evenly on a jelly roll pan and arrange soaked slices in single layer on butter.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped pecans.

    Bake just until golden brown about 15 minutes (watch carefully)

    Serve with maple syrup.
