    Loretta made this for our end of summer camp gathering. It is absolutely the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. It totally changed my opinion of macaroni and cheese. Which by the way is saying a lot because I'm not a big old fan of macaroni and cheese.

    List of Ingredients




    Loretta’s Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
    INGREDIENTS:
    • 1 16 ounce box elbow macaroni
    • 2 cups cream-style cottage cheese, small curd
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 egg, slightly beaten
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • dash pepper
    • 16 ounces shredded *cheddar cheese, shredded
    • paprika

    Recipe



    *Cheddar cheese is not what you have to use. Feel free to mix cheese blends. Loretta did when she made this and it was so yummy.

    Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain well. In a medium bowl combine cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt, and pepper. Add shredded cheese; mix well. Add cooked macaroni, stirring to blend well.

    Turn mixture into a greased 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Macaroni and cheese recipe serves 6 to 8.
