Confectionary Sugar Cookies
List of Ingredients
Cream together until light & fluffy:
1 cup butter (not margarine)
1 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
Add:
2 eggs (one at a time)
1 tsp vanilla
Combine and add:
4-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
Recipe
Chill dough 4 hours or overnight (better to chill overnight). Roll chilled dough into small balls, then roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass that has been dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350° for 7-10 minutes, until edges of cookies are just starting to brown.
Makes 6 to 8 dozen cookies
