    Snowflake Spritz

    List of Ingredients




    SNOWFLAKE SPRITZ

    1 cup butter flavored shortening
    3 ounces cream cheese, softened
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon orange zest
    2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    Powdered sugar for dusting

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350º.

    In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening, cream cheese, and sugar. Add egg yolk, vanilla, and orange zest and beat until fluffy. Gradually stir in flour, salt and cinnamon.

    Prepare cookie press with desired design, fill with cookie dough and press onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake 10-12 minutes.

    Remove and cool on wire racks with wax paper under. After completely cooled give the cookies a light dusting of powdered sugar.

    Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
