    Grilled Florida Blue Crabs

    One of my first experiences here in Florida was enjoying freshly caught blue crab. My husband would go out and get them under a bridge near our home. We'd cook-em up and lay paper on the kitchen table and enjoy eating them with some friends. There are many ways to enjoy Florida blue crabs, this is just one.

    12 medium Florida soft-shell blue crabs
    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    ¾ cup chopped fresh parsley
    ¼ teaspoon soy sauce
    ¼ cup vegetable oil
    1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
    lemon wedges

    Recipe



    Rinse crabs under cold running water. Place crabs in well-oiled, hinged wire grills.

    Combine remaining ingredients except lemon wedges and warm over medium heat in saucepan. Baste crabs with sauce. Place crabs on rack about 4 inches from moderately hot coals and cook for 8 minutes or on low heat on gas grill.

    Baste with sauce. Turn and cook 7 to 10 minutes longer or until lightly browned . Serve with lemon wedges.

    Serves 6
