    Turkey Stuffing Soup

    Source of Recipe

    Jeannie

    List of Ingredients

    • Cream of Chicken soup
    • Apple Sausage Stuffing *Homemade is best but I've used Stove Top which I added pom/apple juice, apple and sausage to*
    • A dash of chicken bouillon granules
    • A dash of chicken or turkey rub *McCormick makes a great rub*
    • Shredded or diced turkey

    Instructions

    1. Blend soup with milk according to can directions and heat.

    2. Stir in crumbled stuffing, making sure to break it up into small bites and pieces. I've made this and trust me stuffing that has been made with apples and sausage adds to the flavor of this soup.

    3. Maybe you will like the flavor pairings thus far and skip this next step. I however did not and found it was lacking still in the taste I'd experienced. Maybe because I'm cheating and useing canned soup insted of a homemade base. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Cream of chicken soup is a good base for many a recipe and is perfect for this soup.

    4. Add bouillon granules and chicken/turkey rub seasoning to taste. Add diced turkey.

    5. Reheat soup to blend flavors. Enjoy!

    Final Comments

This is one of those recipes that you have to tweak and make your own. Maybe you have some other favorite stuffing/dressing recipe that you'd like to use. It's not all called homemade for nothing! This is why it will be end up being your "soup de jour".
