    No Fuss Caramel Corn (Microwave)

    List of Ingredients

    3 quarts popped popcorn
    1 1/2 cup peanuts
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    Recipe

    Place popped popcorn and peanuts in a large brown grocery bag. Set aside.

    Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in a 2 quart glass bowl. Micro-cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil. Cook 2 minutes longer, then stir in baking soda. Pour syrup over the corn. Close the bag and shake vigorously.

    Microcook for 1/2 minutes more. Remove bag and shake. Return to microwave for 1 1/2 minutes more. Remove and shake. Pour into large roaster pan or on waxed paper. Stir as it cools. Makes 3 quarts.

    Note: times may vary due to voltage of the microwave
