1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts
1/4 cup cut up dates
1 tablespoon chopped raisins
1 tablespoon flaked coconut
3/4 cup flour
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, nuts, dates, raisins and coconut. Mix well.
Add the flour and beat until blended.
Bake in an 8x8x2-inch pan, lined with waxed paper for 40 minutes. While still warm, cut into 2-inch squares.
Yield: 16 squares.
