    Fresh Mango Fool

    3 medium fresh mangoes or papayas -- seeded, peeled,
    -- and chopped (you
    -- should have about 3 cups)(up to 4 mangoes)
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    In a shallow dish, mash 1 cup of the chopped mango with a potato masher. (Or, puree with a mini food chopper, food processor, or blender.)

    In a medium bowl beat whipping cream, sugar, and nutmeg until cream is very stiff, but not curdled. Fold in mashed mango. In individual 6- to 7-ounce glasses or dishes, layer whipped cream mixture and remaining 2 cups chopped mango. Serve immediately or cover and chill up to 2 hours before serving.

    Makes 6 servings.
