Light Ranch Dressing Mix

1/4 cup dried parsley
3 tablespoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons dried chives
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground celery seed
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise
3/4 cup buttermilk
Combine the first seven ingredients in a small jar and mix well. Store in a cool, dry place (makes 1/2 cup of mix).
To make dressing, combine 1 tablespoon of the dressing mix with the mayonnaise and mix thoroughly using a wire whisk. Slowly add the buttermilk, stirring constantly until well mixed. Refrigerate in a tightly covered container.
