    Oriental Hoisin Marinade

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    4 garlic cloves -- minced
    2 teaspoons gingerroot -- grated
    1/2 cup hoisin sauce
    1/3 cup honey -- at room temperature
    1/3 cup soy sauce
    3 tablespoons dry red wine
    2 tablespoons Oriental chili sauce
    1 teaspoon salt

    Combine garlic and gingerroot in bowl; mix well. Stir in hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, red wine, chili sauce and salt. Use as a marinade and/or basting sauce.
