Chateau Maple Syrup Pie

2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter
2 egg yolks -- beaten well
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup water
1 baked pie crust
1/2 cup heavy cream -- whipped
maple sugar shavings
Cream flour and butter; add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Add the maple syrup and water. Cook in double boiler until mixture begins to thicken. Pour into baked pie crust and allow to set. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with maple sugar shavings.
