    Apple Impromptu

    List of Ingredients

    4 cups sliced apples, peeled
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons Splenda
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
    1/3 cup ugar
    1 egg -- slightly beaten
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    pinch salt

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 400º. Place apples in an 8 or 9 inch pie plate, which has been sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Combine the 2 Tbsp. sugar,2 Tbsp. Splenda and cinnamon; sprinkle over the apples. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes.

    Mix remaining ingredients, just till smooth and spread over the apples. Bake 20-25 min. at 400ºF.

    Serves: 8

    Per Serving: 116 Calories; 1g Fat (6.1% calories from fat); 2g Protein; 26g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 23mg Cholesterol; 54mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1/2 Grain(Starch); 0 Lean Meat; 1/2 Fruit; 0 Fat; 1 Other Carbohydrates.

    NOTES : The dough is very thick; an additional Tbsp. of applesauce may be needed.
