    Source of Recipe

    Betty Crocker

    Recipe Introduction

My Mom and Grandmother both made these corn sticks using this Betty Crocker recipe. These are simply the best. Only Betty Crocker can do cornbread sticks this good.

    List of Ingredients

2 Cups Cornmeal, Yellow Or White
    1 Teaspoon Soda
    1 Teaspoon Salt
    1 Egg, Well Beaten
    2 Cups Buttermilk
1/4 Cup Melted Ham Or Bacon Fat

    Recipe

Grease pans for about 15 cornstick pans. Place pans in moderately hot oven (400 Degrees) to heat while mixing batter. Mix together, 2 cups cornmeal, soda and salt. Stir into the mixture, 1 egg, 2 cups buttermilk and melted ham or bacon fat. Pour into hot pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in moderate hot oven (400 degrees). Makes 15 cornsticks.
