    These are old fashioned griddle cakes and are absolutely wonderful.

    List of Ingredients




    2 Cups Flour
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    3 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
    1 Egg
    1 1/2 Cups Milk
    3 Tablespoons Fat
    1 Tablespoon Sugar
    1 Tablespoon Plain Malt Extract

    Recipe



    Mix dry ingredients. Add beaten egg. Blend malt extract in warm milk and add. Drop by spoonful on greased hot griddle. When puffed up and full of bubbles and cooked on the edges, turn and cook on the other side. Serve with syrup or jam.
