    Topped with sweet, fresh strawberries these from scratch waffles will make breakfast a real treat!

    List of Ingredients




    2 Pints Fresh Strawberries
    5 Tablespoons Sugar, Divided
    2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
    2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
    1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    2 Eggs
    2 Cups (16 Ounces) Sour Cream
    1 Cup Milk
    3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
    Whipped Topping
    Additional Strawberries, Optional

    Recipe



    Place strawberries and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a food processor or blender. Cover and process until coarsely chopped; set aside. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and remaining sugar. Combine the eggs, sour cream, milk and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Pre-heat waffle iron. Fill and bake according to manufacturer's directions. Serve with strawberry topping, whipped topping and additional strawberries if desired. Yields 6 to 8 waffles.
