Chess pie is a great dessert for any meal. Add this to your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner menu.
List of Ingredients
2 Cups Sugar
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Tablspoon Corn Meal
1 Pinch Salt (Optional)
4 Unbeaten Eggs
1/4 Cup Melted Butter
1/4 Cup Milk
4 Tablespoons Grated Lemon Rind
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Unbaked Pastry ShellRecipe
Combine sugar, flour, corn meal and salt in a bowl; toss lightly with a fork. Add eggs, butter, milk, lemon rind, and lemon juice and beat until smooth. Pour in pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until set and golden brown. Yields 6 servings.
