Pound cake is my favorite. I love it with fruit and whipped cream or with fruit and ice cream.
List of Ingredients
2 Sticks Butter, Softened
1/2 Cup Shortening
3 Cups Sugar
5 Eggs
3 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Cup Milk
2 Teaspoons VanillaRecipe
Cream the butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each. Sift the flour and baking powder and add to the creamed mixture a little at a time, alternately with milk and flavoring. Blend well. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
