1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
1/4 c water
2 Tb brown sugar
1 ts minced fresh garlic
1 ts peeled minced fresh ginger
1 Tb cornstarch mixed with 2 Tb water
Recipe
In a small saucepan, bring all ingredients except the cornstarch mixture to a boil. Blend cornstarch and water. Stir into pan. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 or 2 minutes, stirring until thickened.
