1 1/4 c butter or margarine
2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
3/4 c cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 c nuts -- chopped

Cream butter and sugar, mix in eggs. Add dry ingredients. Use ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350F 8-9 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Cool on sheet one minute, then remove to rack.
