Raspberry Blueberry Jam

2 cups crushed and seeded raspberry pulp
1 1/4 cups crushed blueberries
1 tablespoon strained fresh lemon juice
5 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon butter
1 pouch liquid pectin -- 3 oz.
In an 8-quart pan, combine all ingredients except pectin.
Heat on medium-low, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat too medium-high and bring mixture to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
Stir in pectin and return mixture to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for one minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and skim off foam.
To prevent the jam from separating in jars, cool 5 minutes, gently stirring every minute or so.
Ladle into hot jars, leaving 1/4" headspace. Wipe jars rims and threads. Cap with two-piece lids and process half-pints 10 minutes and pints 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
