    Great Grandma Ida's Pinwheel Candy

    Source of Recipe

Originally Ida Cole. Offered by Kelly Bannister

    List of Ingredients

    • Confectioner's sugar
    • evaporated milk (canned)
    • peanut butter

    Instructions

    1. Start with about 4 cups of confectioner's sugar. Add a small amount of evaporated milk and mix. You are trying to get this mixture the consistency of a stiff pizza dough. Add more milk or sugar as needed to achieve this.

    2. Sprinkle waxed paper liberally with more powdered sugar. Roll out the "dough" into a rectangle, about as thick as pizza dough.

    3. Top completely with a thin layer of peanut butter. Place this into the freezer for about 15 minutes. Make sure it stays flat.

    4. Take out of freezer and roll, like a jelly-roll. Wrap again and put into refrigerator (for an hour) or freezer (for 10-15 minute).

    5. Remove and slice into pinwheels. Lay flat and refrigerate.
