    Pot Potatoes

    Source of Recipe

    Sister -Lisa Welch

    Recipe Introduction

These potatoes are cooked in a pot without water, just a stick of butter, so Im sure they arent good for you, just good.

    List of Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds of Red Potatoes-if they are not real small its about 6 or 7 potatoes
    1 stick of butter
    sugar
    salt and pepper

    Recipe

Cut potatoes up into chunks, not small but not real big either so they will get done evenly. Add 1 stick of butter to a big pot (not a cast iron pot, they have a funny taste when I do it in my dutch oven) melt over medium high, then add sugar to the butter, I dont put a lot, probably about a tablespoon or less and let that cook for a few minutes (it will probably turn a brownish color, but not burnt so you have to watch it)then add potatoes to pot, stir to mix the butter glaze and potatoes, then turn to medium low and put top on pot and cook till soft. You will need to check on them to make sure they arent burning, but some of them will brown a little. They are really good, I hardly ever have any left over.
