    Cheese Stuffed Proscuitto Wrapped Figs

    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

These little morsels are rich and delectable. This is so easy to do that you can serve them for any occasion. I wrapped them ahead of time and just popped them on the grill when our company arrived. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (and maybe some balsamic vinegar) and a grinding of pepper when they are done is all they need. I used an aged Gouda cheese, but you could use Chevre, bleu - really any kind. Leftovers can even be microwaved!

    List of Ingredients

8 Black Mission figs, cut in half (cut the little tip off)
8 slices Proscuitto, cut in half lengthwise
8 oz. cheese, cut into 16 cubes

    Recipe

Place a cube of cheese on each fig half. Wrap each with a piece of proscuitto.

Preheat the grill to medium high heat.

Grill each little bundle for about 2 minutes per side. You want the proscuitto to crisp, but not burn. Remove from grill and drizzle with oil and season with pepper.
