Shrimp Fried Rice
Source of Recipe
My own, with help from the Internet
Recipe Introduction
I just use Lidl’s frozen fried rice to make this dish. The texture and flavor are both really good.
List of Ingredients
1 egg
1/4 c. minced onion
1/2 c. snow peas, diagonally sliced
1/2 lb. shrimp, cut into small pieces if large
Vegetable oil
1 Bag frozen fried rice
1/2 t. garlic powder
Handful of bean sprouts
Soy sauce
Recipe
In a skillet large enough to hold all the ingredients, cook the egg omelet-style on medium-low heat in a little oil. When just barely done, remove from pan, dice, and set aside. In the same pan, over medium-high heat, cook the snow peas and onions for a couple of minutes – you do not want them to get soft, just heated through and just starting to get tender. Remove from pan and add to the eggs. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until just done. Remove from the pan and add to the other stuff.
Cook the rice according to the package directions, adding the garlic powder. When almost done, add in the ingredients you’ve already sautéed and the bean sprouts. Toss over medium-high heat until heated through. Taste and add soy sauce, as needed.
Serves 4-6.
