    My version of a Kroger recipe

    I'm sure that these would be MUCH better with home made meatballs. But this turned out pretty darned good anyway. Serve with soft rolls to blot up the extra sauce. Also, I served these in shallow soup plates.

    List of Ingredients




    1 pkg. (1 lb. 10 oz.) Kroger Swedish Meatballs
    1 pkg. (12 oz.) egg noodles, cooked
    4 T. butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 14.5 oz. can beef broth
    8 oz. heavy cream
    1 T. Dijon mustard
    1 T. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 T. allspice
    1/2 t. nutmeg
    Pepper, to taste

    Recipe



    Melt the butter over medium heat in a Dutch oven. add the chopped onion and cook until soft. Add the broth and cream and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat slightly and let simmer until reduced a bit; the sauce should nap the back of a spoon.

    Stir in the Dijon, Worcestershire, allspice, nutmeg and pepper. Add the meatballs and stir. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Test a meatball to see if it is heated enough. Serve over hot noodles.

    Serves 6-8.
