Lemon Drop

Recipe Introduction
Cocktail time seemed to become a “thing” during pandemic time. So as not to miss out, I instituted it at our house. I’m aiming for once a week. I had this recipe for a long while and this seemed to be the perfect time to try it out. A delicious, light and tangy cocktail. We found the original recipe to be just slightly over-sweet (possibly due to the addition of the St. Germaine), so next time we’ll hold back a bit on the simple syrup. Simple syrup is just 1/2 water and 1/2 sugar boiled until the sugar dissolves. Make a batch and keep it in the fridge for 3-4 weeks. If you combine the syrup and the lemon juice you can only keep for 1-2 weeks.
List of Ingredients
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. lemon juice
1/2-1 oz. simple syrup
1 lemon twist
1/2 oz. or less of St. Germaine (optional)
1 lemon twistRecipe
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add a few ice cubes. Put the lid on and shake until well chilled. Pour into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with a twist.
