    I am still in the learning stages with my new bread machine. I want to branch out, but thought I’d start with recipes from the owner’s manual. This made a decent, basic white loaf. The yeast should be bread machine yeast or rapid-rise.

    List of Ingredients




    FOR A 1 LB. LOAF:
    Water 160ml.
    Butter 2T.
    Salt 1t.
    Sugar 1T.
    Milk powder 2T.
    Bread Flour 300g.
    Yeast 1t.

    FOR A 1.5 LB. LOAF:
    Water 240ml.
    Butter 2T.
    Salt 1t.
    Sugar 2T.
    Milk powder 3T.
    Bread Flour 400g.
    Yeast 1t.

    FOR A 2 LB. LOAF:
    Water 290ml.
    Butter 3T.
    Salt 1t.
    Sugar 3T.
    Milk powder 5T.
    Bread Flour 475g.
    Yeast 1t.

    Recipe



    Put the ingredients into the bread pan in the order listed. Place the bread pan in the bread machine and close the lid. Turn the bread machine on and choose “Soft Bread”, weight, baking color, as needed then press “Start”. When done, remove from the bread machine and pan and cool on a rack.
