    Butter Mints

    Source of Recipe

    McCormick website

    Recipe Introduction

These were so good and so easy. I hadn't had these for years and stumbled across the recipe and decided to try them. I rolled them out like cooky dough and cut them with a little cooky cutter. They were so cute. You could use all different cutters for these for all kinds of occasions and holidays.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 c. butter, softened
    16 oz. box (4 c.) 10X, sifted
    1 T. milk or cream
    1 t. Vanilla Extract
1/2 t. Mint Extract or Peppermint Extract (I used 1/4 t. Peppermint Oil
    Food Coloring

    Recipe

Beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and smooth. Gradually add remaining ingredients and desired food color, beating until well blended and smooth. Remove mixture from bowl. Knead until color is evenly distributed.

Shape into small patties. Or, roll gently with a rolling pin and cut into shapes with mini cookie cutters.

Dry on waxed paper. Let set overnight to dry.
Turn and let other side dry. Store in covered container.
These keep a long time, and freeze well.

    Makes about 40 mints.
