    A lovely buttercrunch candy.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 c. slivered almonds
    • 1 stick of butter
    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 1 T. light Karo
    • 1/2 largest Hershey bar
    • finely crushed almonds


    Instructions


    1. In a 10" skillet, melt butter, add sugar, Karo and slivered almonds over high heat. Stir constantly until it reaches 300 degrees. Pour out on a greased cooky sheet and spread quickly with the back of a spoon.
    2. Place pieces of broken Hershey bar on candy, spreading it evenly as it melts. Sprinkle with crushed almonds and place in refrigerator to harden. When cold, break into bite-sized pieces.
