Cheese Fondue

Recipe Introduction
Do yourself a favor if you want fondue. Buy an electric pot. They work better than anything else and you will discover all sorts of recipes you want to make with it - different cheese fondues, meats, veggies, CHOCOLATE, individual french toast, etc.
List of Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic - cut in half
- 10 oz. emmenthaler cheese - shredded
- 10 oz. gruyere cheese - shredded
- 4 T. cornstarch
- 2 c. white wine
- 1 T. lemon juice
- a couple of scrapes of nutmeg
- pinch of pepper
- dash of Kirsch
Instructions
- Rub pan with garlic. Add cheese and cornstarch and toss to coat. Add wine and lemon juice. Heat to melt cheese, stirring.
- Add nutmeg and pepper and heat an additional minute or two. Add kirsch and serve.
Final Comments
Serve with bread, cubes of ham, veggies, roasted new potatoes, endive leaves, steamed asparagus.
