Recipe Introduction
This is probably my husband’s (Mike) favorite cheesecake. He raved about it when he went to his dad and Judy’s house for dinner one night without me and bugged me until I got the recipe. It is very, very good!! I just recently started doing the water bath method of cooking cheesecakes and it really does make a difference in evenness of cooking and texture of the cake.
List of Ingredients
CRUST:
1 ½ c. Oreo cooky crumbs
¼ c. butter, melted
FILLING:
3 (8 oz.) pkgs. Cream cheese, softened (reduced fat works fine)
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 c. mini chocolate chips
1 T. flour
Recipe
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix the crust ingredients and press into the bottom and up the sides of a springform pan.
Beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add milk, eggs and vanilla beating well after the addition of each ingredient. Toss ½ of the chips with the flour. Mix into the cream cheese mixture. Pour into the springform pan. Sprinkle on the remaining chips. Bake for one hour. Cool thoroughly and chill.
