Recipe Introduction
A really easy, ‘cheat’ recipe. Kids love it! Took them to Jessica’s (my daughter) college dorm move in day and they were very popular. Instead of candy coating, I just used real chocolate chips – much better tasting, I think. Also, Jessica and I decided that it might taste really good if you really toasted the marshmallows and sprinkled the chocolate with some crumbled graham crackers while still melty!
List of Ingredients
- 18 oz. chocolate chip cooky dough – roll or break apart
- 16 large marshmallows
- 8 oz. chocolate flavored candy coating, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Shape cooky dough into 32 (1” balls), or break apart; place 2” apart on ungreased cooky sheets.
- Bake for 9-13 minutes, or until edges are light golden brown. Meanwhile, cut each marshmallow in half crosswise with kitchen scissors.
- Remove partially baked cookies from oven. Immediately place 1 half marshmallow, cut side down, on top of each hot cooky.
- Return to oven; bake an additional 1 – 2 minutes or just until marshmallows begin to puff. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cooky sheets. With fingers, gently flatten marshmallows.
- Melt candy coating as directed on package. Spoon about 1 t. candy coating over marshmallow on each cook, swirling with back of spoon to nearly cover marshmallow.
