Recipe Introduction
Awful name! I don’t know why it’s called that, but this is just a really simple slow cooker fall apart beef roast. I doctored it up a bit with some Worcestershire, pepper and a little bit of hot sauce. I served it on hoagie rolls with shaved parmesan and a jarred caramelized red onion and fig compote. I made soup with the leftovers – I added Kluski egg noodles, some beef broth, Bisto, Montreal steak seasoning and parsley. It made great soup!
List of Ingredients
1 beef roast (as tough as they come) – I used Eye of Round
1 can of beer (I used Legend ale – local)
1 can french onion soup
1 can beef broth (I used Better Than Bouillon)
Recipe
Place all in slow cooker and cook all day (you’ll need at least a full 12 hours). Remove roast and shred. Return to juices. Serve on rolls.
This would serve at least 12 people.
