Crock Pot Dip Master Recipes
Recipe Introduction
This is just a good, gooey, gloppy crab dip. Scoop it up on baguette rounds, crackers, whatever. This recipe is for the little Crock Pot that doesn’t have any temperature control, so if you are going to sit this out awhile, you should unplug it periodically so it doesn’t get too hot. I added some hot sauce and horseradish, to taste. The recipe calls for salt – don’t! The soup mix has plenty!
List of Ingredients
12 oz. cream cheese, cubed
1/4 c. heavy whipping cream
1 c. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. lump crab meat
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. lemon juice
Fresh chives, minced for garnish
Recipe
Combine the cream cheese and whipping cream in the Crock Pot. Cover and heat until the cheese is melted, about 1 hour.
Add the Parmesan cheese, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Stir thoroughly. Add crab meat and stir gently to mix. Cover and cook for 45 minutes. Shortly before serving, add the lemon juice and mix. Sprinkle the dip with fresh minced chives as garnish.
Serves 6 – 8.
