1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. banana liqueur
4 bananas, cut in half lengthwise, then halved
1/4 c. dark rum
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Recipe
Place the butter, sugar and cinnamon in a skillet over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the liqueur and the bananas. When the bananas soften a bit and begin to brown add the rum very carefully (off the flame if you are cooking with gas). Cook until the rum is hot and then ignite it with a LONG match. When the flames go out, gently place the bananas on each portion of ice cream. Spoon the sauce over the ice cream and bananas and serve.
