    Just a good, basic cobbler recipe.

    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    2 cups sugar, divided
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    Pinch of salt
    1 cup milk
    4 cups fresh peach slices
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    Ground cinnamon
    Demerara sugar

    Recipe



    Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Melt the butter in a 13x9-inch baking dish.

    Mix the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the milk, stirring just until moistened. Pour the batter over the butter without stirring.

    Place the rest of the sugar, the peaches and the lemon juice in a saucepan and heat to boiling over high heat, stirring. Pour over the batter without stirring. Sprinkle with cinnamon and demerara sugar.

    Bake for 40-45 minutes – until golden brown. Serve warm or room temperature.


    Serves 10
