Alton’s Tapenade

Recipe Introduction
This is just a good, basic tapenade. You can make it the day before you want to serve it. I didn’t have any fresh basil, so I left it out and it was still delicious.
List of Ingredients
1/2 pound pitted mixed olives
2 anchovy fillets, rinsed
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons capers
2 to 3 fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Recipe
Rinse the olives in cool water. Put all of the ingredients in a food processor (I used my mini one). Process until you get a coarse paste, scraping down the sides as necessary.
Approximately 1 to 1 1/2 cups
