Recipe Introduction
This is just a classic. This has been a favorite of mine for years! Creamy, cool and very satisfying. I would like to try adding a tablespoonful or so of horseradish to it. You could also do this with crab or a mixture of shrimp and crab. Really, really good!
List of Ingredients
3/4 c. celery, minced fine
3/4 c. onion, minced fine
1 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 lb. cooked shrimp, chopped
4 small blocks cream cheese, softened
Can of tomato soup, undiluted
2 envelopes unflavored Knox gelatin
Recipe
Grease a 1 qt. mold.
Mix celery, onion, mayonnaise and shrimp in large bowl. Set aside.
Gently heat soup. Add cream cheese and stir to melt. Mix well.
Mix 1/2 c. cold water with the gelatin, stir to dissolve.
Add soup and gelatin mixtures to shrimp mixture and stir well. Pour into the greased mold. Refrigerate overnight.
Serve with crackers and vegetables.
