Adorable little project for a Valentines egg. You should go to her blog to see her step-by-step instructions with pictures – once you do one it’s easy, but the pictures explain things better than words.
Egg
Milk carton or any juice carton (cut open, washed well and dried)
Round chopstick
Rubber bands
Recipe
Cut the top and bottom off of the milk carton and cut down two of the sides – you will use the folds to cradle the eggs. Each carton will make 2 eggs. The finished milk carton is about 3" X 8".
Hard boil a couple of eggs.
While the egg is still warm, peel the egg and put the egg on the milk carton, place a chopstick on the center of the egg, and put rubber bands on the both ends. If you don't have a round chopstick you can put a skewer inside a straw and use that. The chopstick should press firmly into the egg. [look at her picture on her blog].
Leave it for about 10 minutes [I just left it in the refrigerator overnight and took it apart the next day]. If it is a hot day, place in the refrigerator.
