    Crab Rangoon Pizza

    Source of Recipe

Various internet sites, but mostly dinnerthendessert.com

    Recipe Introduction

I saw this pizza on some show about restaurants and thought it sounded interesting. I searched for recipes and came up with this from various internet sites. This was good, but no better than regular crab Rangoon. I was lazy, so I didn’t bother with the sauce – just used a bottled one. I think that this sauce recipe would be much better. I’ll do that next time.

    List of Ingredients

8 ounces Louis Kemp Crab Delights Flake Style
12 ounces of cream cheese, divided (1½ packages) – room temperature
    1 clove garlic, minced
3 green onions, thinly sliced (divided)
    1½ teaspoons sesame oil
    1½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

6 won ton wrappers (sliced into strips and fried crisp or pre-made)

    SAUCE:
    ¾ cup white sugar
    â…“ cup white vinegar
    â…” cup water
    ¼ cup soy sauce
    1 tablespoon ketchup
    2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 package of naan bread (2 pieces)

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a small food processor place half of the “crab” flakes, the garlic, 2 of the green onions, sesame oil and Worcestershire sauce. Process until well blended. Add to the cream cheese and mix well. Spread half of mixture onto each of the naan breads. Top with the remaining “crab” flakes.

Make the sauce and drizzle 1/3 of it onto the two pizzas.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, until hot and melty. Top each pizza with the wonton crisps, more of the sauce and the remaining green onion.

    SAUCE:
Add the sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, ketchup and cornstarch in a small saucepan and cook until boiling and thickened. Add â…“ of the sauce to the pizza in small spoonsful.

    Serves 4-6.
