    CANDIED BACON. That’s all you need to know.

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb sliced bacon (thick sliced is really good)
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon
    Dash cayenne pepper (optional)

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350F. Line a half sheet pan with foil. Place a wire rack over the foil and spray well with cooking spray.

    In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and cayenne, if using. Dip both sides of each piece of bacon in the mixture, pressing well. Place on the rack. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over the slices. Bake for 20-30 minutes (longer for thick cut bacon). When done remove bacon from rack to a plate right away so that it doesn’t stick.

    Can be eaten warm (NOT right out of the oven) or room temperature.

    NOTE: this is great crumbled onto a salad
