Orange Glazed Pork Roast

Source of Recipe

Reynold’s Oven Bag recipe

Recipe Introduction

This is really easy and yummy. I have tried a few of the recipes that come in the box of the oven bags and they are surprisingly good. I serve this with my Epicurean Wild Rice www.recipecircus.com/recipes/Kimberlyn/RICE/Epicurean_Wild_Rice.html.

List of Ingredients

1 regular size Reynolds Oven Bag
2 T. flour
2/3 c. orange juice
1 t. instant chicken bouillon
½ c. ground cinnamon
2 ½ - 3 ½ lb. pork sirloin roast, bone in
½ t. thyme leaves
Salt and pepper
1 small acorn squash, halved
1 large apple, cored, cut in eighths

Recipe

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shake flour in bag; place in 13x9” baking pan. Add orange juice, bouillon and cinnamon. Squeeze bag to blend ingredients. Rub roast with thyme, slat and pepper. Place roast in bag. Remove seeds from squash. Cut each halt into ¾” wide slices. Place squash and apple in bag around roast. Close bag with nylon tie; cut 6 ½” slits in top. Insert meat thermometer through slit I bag into thickest part of roast. Bake until meat thermometer registers 160 degrees, 1 ¼ - 1 ½ hours. Let stand in bag 5 minutes.

Serves 4 – 6.
